Lot 275

1804 C-6 R2 Spiked Chin PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved. Frosty tan and light steel brown blending to light chocolate on the highpoints. Peeps of faded mint red show in protected areas on the reverse. The only notable marks are a small splash of darker brown toning on the neck near the shoulder, a few weak dentils left of the date (possibly from a minor planchet clip), and a very fine pinscratch on the jawline. Scarce M-LDS, Manley state 8.0, with bold cud breaks at UN and MERIC. The Spiked Chin feature is obvious. An attractive half cent and a neat die state. Our grade is AU58. The Spiked Chin feature is noted on the PCGS label. Pop 18; 15 finer at PCGS. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP

Realized $3,055
