1837 N-5 R2 Plain Hair Cord, Small Ltrs NGC graded MS62 Brown. Glossy light olive and bluish steel brown blending to light chocolate brown. There are some rose overtones at the top of the reverse that show this cent was lightly cleaned and retoned. The only marks are three parallel diagonal ticks in the field between the eye and star 4. M-LDS. The die line connecting the feet of the I & T in UNITED is gone but the dull wave connecting the bottom of the second S in STATES to the base of the adjacent O has not formed. Our grade is net AU55. A decent example of the only Small Letters variety of the year. Estimate Value $700 - UP
