Loretta Young: Seven (7) Lovely, Oversized Portraits from the Early 1930s to the 50s. Loretta Young enjoyed a very lengthy career from the silent era to the early days of television. The camera loved her, most especially her beautiful eyes. She won an Oscar for THE FARMER'S DAUGHTER and other acclaimed productions. Of late, her story of having a daughter by Clark Gable while on location for the 1935 film CALL OF THE WILD, is well known now, but discretely glossed over as an adoption due to the time. Now it appears it may have been due to assault. That said, this collection is a wonderful look at Young spanning twenty years with a portrait by Otto Dyar very early in her career, ca. 1930 and absolutely breathtaking. But all are truly beautiful portraits. Estimate Value $400 - UP

Realized $180
