1920-S $10 Indian. PCGS graded AU-58. A powerhouse key date! Lightly toned. The 1920-S is one of the great rarities of the series, as we made reference to in the earlier description. Apparently the majority of the issue was melted and never got released into circulation; the ones that did consist mainly of high circulated grades such as Extremely Fine and About Uncirculated. All are very elusive. All deserves the many words written about them. For the advanced collector, owning one would be a dream come true. Breen believes that the 1920-S is rarer than even the 1930-S and the 1933, although in our experience it does not carry quite the same force of interest as the 1933. This piece has subdued surfaces from an moderate loss of luster, but the actual circulation on the highpoints is at a minimum. Ever so weak in the centers, as usual, this is most apparent at the top of the eagle's wing. Pop 13; 17 finer. (PCGS # 8881) .
Estimated Value $17,000 - 19,000.

Realized $24,150
