1796 S-87 R3 Liberty Cap VG10. Sharpness VF20 but covered with very fine roughness under slightly glossy dark olive brown and steel toning. The devices are a slightly lighter shade of steel brown. No verdigris, but there are numerous tiny pinpricks on both sides plus a few dull rim nicks on the obverse. The date is strong except for the bottom of the 6 which is lost in the swelling associated with the die state, and the legends are bold. MDS with obvious swelling at the 6 in the date.
