EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA : BRITT: OMN: REX FID DEF: IND: IMP: Reverse; Pistrucci's St George and Dragon. An eye-catching example of this one-year type coin. PCGS graded MS-65. Estimate Value $1,400 - 1,600
A superb mint state gem. Light mottled golden green tone over unusually good surfaces. One of only a handful of pieces graded this high. It is extraordinary to find a currency 1902 Crown with practically no major surface abrasions or marks. These large silver coins were produced by machines which, after striking, dropped them into a container, and after which process they were transported roughly in bags. This specimen must be a hand selected piece which has escaped the usual traumas of the currency coinage.

Realized $1,440
