1881. NGC graded Proof 68 Cameo. A wonderful gem proof cameo quarter. The surfaces are pristine, with no signs of handling whatsoever. The only difference from the day this one was struck is the slow and natural progress of russet toning around the rim, lighter on the obverse with more seen on the reverse. Definetly one of the finest to survive from the original mintage of only 975 struck. Pop 1; 1 finer in 68 Star for PRCA. Estimated Value $9,000 - 10,000
