Lot 2416

1891-CC $20 Liberty. PCGS graded EF-40. Only 5,000 pieces struck of which merely 308 examples are estimated to have survived. Whereas many CC-mint dates in the 1880s are relatively common, and the 1890-CC is also always available, this isn't true when it comes to 1891-CC. The date has been recognized as a rarity for the better part of a century now, with few examples offered for sale. This handsome natural-toned specimen has relatively few circulation marks. There is even a splash of luster remaining within some of the devices to reminid us what it must have looked like the day it was made so many years ago (PCGS # 9017) .
Estimated Value $7,000 - 7,500.

Realized $8,913
