1901 $10. NGC graded MS-62. A pleasing example of the grade with nice golden tones. Little gold actually circulated in the early 1900s; most coins were stored in bank vaults as reserves against which they issued bank notes and demand deposits; gold was also used internationally to settle business deals; and the U.S. Treasury maintained a stock of $75 million to $100 million in gold as backing for the currency.
Estimated Value $700 - 750.

Realized $776
