1783 Washington Unity States Breen-1188 Baker-1 VF35. Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate with traces of frosty tan in protected areas. Smooth and very attractive, just lightly worn on the devices. The planchet is nicer than usual with just a few of the pre-striking planchet "faux-circulation marks" that are always seen near the dentils on both sides. (The marks were intentionally added to the planchets prior to striking to give the appearance that these relatively lightweight pieces had already been accepted in commerce, even when they were uncirculated).
