1906. PCGS graded Proof 64. Only 160 proofs struck. Rich golden toning. A few minor marks in the fields. The present 1906 Liberty quarter eagle shows the sharp detail characteristic of Proofs, as well as the high date that slants down slightly toward the right. The vibrant-gold surfaces are well mirrored, providing considerable contrast against frosty devices. This coin offers broad appeal, both numismatically and aesthetically.
