1837. No Stars. NGC graded MS-66+. This is an amazing coin. First off the quality is off the charts, coming in at MS-66+, on the cusp of the Superb level. Add to the satiny bounty of the fields an enticing circle of deep blue at the rims, fading over to rich russet then to lighter gold to the centers. Eye appeal on steroids! Last but not least is a bold and precise strike. These 1837 coins were the first appearance of Christian Gobrecht's new Liberty Seated dimes, and clearly special care was taken to make these coins magnificent, and here is one that has only grown more attractive with age and toning.
