$5 Liberty. 1877. PCGS graded AU-58. A truly rare coin this nice, this one boasts rich coppery gold toning and average surfaces. The fields retain some prooflike mirroring in the protected areas. Boldly struck throughout, with just a whisper of wear on the upper curls. PCGS has graded 9 this high, with just 2 higher, one as MS-61, the other as MS-62. Rare thus (PCGS # 8342) .
