Thessaly, Larissa. Silver Drachm (6.03 g), ca. 450/40-420 BC. The hero Thessalos, with petasos and chlamys hanging around neck, restraining bull left by band held around its head. Reverse: ΛAP-IΣAIA, bridled horse rearing right within incuse squar. Lorber -; BCD Thessaly I -; BCD Thessaly II -; cf. HGC 4, 420; CNG E382, 41 (same dies).
