1856. PCGS graded AU-55. Well struck. Only 26,010 pieces minted. After a fast start where the mintage rose to well over 100,000 pieces in 1854, coinage for this ignored denomination soon dropped off to nominal levels. There it remained until the end of the series in 1889. A lustrous example (PCGS # 7974) .
