1853 Half Dollar Octagonal. Breen and Gillio-302. Low Rarity 4. PCGS graded MS-63. The popular Peacock type. Lovely original golden-sunset toning on both sides. We note a mint caused tar streak below the bird's wing. The rays of the sun are placed directly behind the eagle, making him resemble a Peacock. Pop 26; 14 finer (PCGS # 10422) .
