1853 Dollar Octagonal Liberty. Breen and Gillio-505. Rarity 4. PCGS graded AU-53. Olive green golden hues evident on both sides. Desirable Frontier, Deviercy issue with a small federal-style head of Liberty to left, 10 six-pointed stars around, star 4 relatively close to tip of coronet. On the reverse, a central beaded circle, a six-pointed star, CALIFORNIA, two more six-pointed stars, GOLD. around, maker's mark FD below, 1 / DOLLAR / 1853 on three lines within beaded circle. Pop 4; 73 finer (PCGS # 10482) .
