1888. NGC graded Proof 64 Cameo CAC Approved. A glittering cameo Proof specimen and quite choice for the grade. A hint of golden-orange toning adds to its appeal. Only 97 Proofs struck. Don't miss the lovely toning on both sides, and it has a nice sparkle as expected for a coin of this period. Philadelphia struck few Proofs for the year, only a handful of which PCGS has graded this high, and a few higher. The strike and surfaces are exceptional, while the quality of the fields and devices simply can't be beat. A premier coin that exudes the classic appeal American numismatics has to offer.
