Spanish American War & World War I - Theodore Roosevelt, Theodore, Jr., George Dewey, General Pershing, Etc. Signatures on separate cards of the future President ("T. Roosevelt"), his son ("Theodore Roosevelt"), who would fight in both World Wars and die in the 2nd, and Admiral George Dewey (dated 24 May 1900); an unsigned calling card of General Pershing has holograph thanks for cordial wishes at Christmas time. Also, a 1917 Leonard Wood ALS, an FDC commemorating the Congressional Medal of Honor, and a 1919 letter from Wood to the Adj. Gen. in Washington asking for his medals for his service in the Spanish American War, the occupation of "Porto Rico," and the Philippines. Theodore Roosevelt and his son Theodore were only the second father-and-son pair to win the Medal of Honor; Arthur and Douglas MacArthur were the other recipients. A small, engraved "Mr. Theodore Roosevelt" card with holograph "Thanks for sympathy" is also included. Estimate Value $250 - 300
