1797 S-128 R3 F15. M over E in AMERICA variety. Sharpness VF30 but dark with microscopic roughness hidden under a glossy dark greenish olive brown and steel patina. The only marks are a planchet chip or pit in the hair at the back of the head and a very shallow planchet flake in the dentils left of the lower curls. M-LDS, Breen state VIII, with numerous die cracks on the obverse. The date and legends are strong and the M over E feature is clear. Estimated Value $300-UP
