1811 C-2 R3 Repunched 8 PCGS graded VG8. Rather glossy dark steel brown and chocolate. No roughness, only minor contact marks. The notable marks are a small planchet chip at the outer point of star 7 and a small vertical scratch over the L in HALF. MDS, Manley state 2.0. There are die clashmarks in the curls behind the portrait and the repunching at the lower left of the 8 is still visible. The date is bold and the legends are clear. A decent lower grade example of this tough date. Our grade is VG7+. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 13 finer for the variety.
