Superb Apulian Bell Krater, c. 370-345 B.C. This South Italian vase is of excellent quality, probably by "The Snub-Nose Painter." The obverse, or side A, displays a seated female holding a box, facing a youthful Pan carrying a bunch of grapes and a bough. The reverse, or side B, shows two facing youths with an altar between. While one handle has been expertly repaired, the overall condition is superb. Height: 10½"; Diameter of mouth: 11½".
Estimated Value $12,500 - 17,500.

Realized $8,050
