Sasanian Kingdom. Ardashir I. Silver Drachm (4.12 g), AD 223/4-240. Mint C ("Ctesiphon"), ca. AD 233/4-238/9. Diademed bust of Ardashir I right, wearing mural crown; trefoil of pellets before crown. Reverse: Fire altar with diadems. SNS type V(4a)/3a(2b); Göbl type IV/2; cf. Sunrise 720. Very Rare. Well centered and boldly struck. Some tiny scratches on reverse and a tiny mark or two on the reverse rims. Untoned. Nearly Extremely Fine. Estimate Value $600 - 700
