Slave Bill of Sale - 1833. Manuscript document signed by Eli E. Bass of Boone County, Missouri, 7½ x 7 in., Feb. 27, 1833. A bill of sale by Bass to John Bryant of "a certain negro man named Jonathan aged between forty five and fifty for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars." Six other slaves' names are listed on the verso with values by their names, ranging from $200 to $400. Light toning, else fine. Estimated Value $200 - 300
