1835 N-5 R2 Type of 1834, Small 8 & Stars PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Lustrous bluish steel and medium brown with 20% of the coin showing original mint color. A choice cent except for a dozen microscopic specks of darker toning (not carbon) on the neck and bust and a puff of slightly darker toning over CE in CENT. MDS with a double profile on the forehead, lips, and chin. Graded MS65 and tied for CC#3 in the Bland census. Our grade is MS62. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and Naftzger-Ahumada provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; 3 finer, 2 in 65, 1 in 66 for the variety. PCGS #37084. Estimate Value $2,500 - UP
