1908-D. No motto. PCGS graded MS-64. Glorious rich coppery gold color throughout, with vibrant luster and amazing surface quality. Examination finds only a couple of minor bagmarks, blending into the devices and keeping the open fields satin smooth and attractive. This is an early date from the Saint-Gaudens series, still lacking the Motto which was added in late 1908. This is a condition rarity this nice, and nearly impossible to find appreciably finer without spending far more than this splendid example will cost. An opportunity for the advanced specialist.
