Cooper, Gary (1901-1961) Autograph Letter Signed (October 29, 1943), 2pp, 6 x 4 in. Given to Western Union as a Day Letter to be sent to producer Winfield Sheehan in New York regarding a biographical role Sheehan wanted Cooper to play (possibly Eddie Rickenbacker in the 1945 film Captain Eddie). Cooper, who was starting a U.S.O. tour that would last until the beginning of 1944, writes that he has already done three biographies and feels "I should do a story of pure fictional basis." With the Western Union copy and a glossy 10 x 8 in. print of Cooper from a Hurrell negative, with Hurrell stamp on verso.
Estimated Value $300 - 400.
