1913 $2.50 Indian. PCGS graded Proof 62. Medium olive toning adds to its appeal. Only 165 Matte or "Sandblast" Proofs minted. The Matte Proof and Sandblast finish Proofs of this series can be quite difficult to grade. The recessed relief design coupled with the finely granular finishes can make telling the difference between a Proof and a Mint State a serious challenge for the beginning collector but never someone experienced in this popular series.
