Lot 1405

1856. PCGS graded MS-63+. CAC Approved. Well struck and untoned. Although this is not a rare date, any coin in choice or finer grades is a real rarity today. These simply did not survive this early period in our history. Most survivors are well circulated. So when this frosty and lustrous coin appears specialists should take note and bid accordingly. A prize for the date collector! Pop 1; 4 finer, 2 in 64, 1 in 65, 1 in 65+ (PCGS # 8266) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 11,000.
