1809 C-4 R2 Large 0 over Small 0 PCGS graded XF45. Sharpness near EF40 but this piece was lightly cleaned and retoned glossy dark steel brown and olive. Frost covers the protected areas and this piece offers nice eye appeal in spite of the retoning. No roughness, and the only marks are some light scratches at ERICA, but you need a glass to see them. EDS, Manley state 1.0. The Small 0 inside the normal 0 in the date is crisp, dentils are present around the entire obverse and most of the reverse, and the reverse is rotated 10 degrees clockwise. Our grade is VF30. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 5 finer, 1 in 53, 2 in 55, 1 in 64, 1 in 66 for the variety.
