1960s Vintage "Corning Ware for Range and Microwave"; Early Saucepans with Glass Lids. Unusual Font and Color Hallmark. There is a remarkable resurgence in popularity for vintage Corningware. Whether a case of nostalgia functionality or both, some of the prices do give one pause. Their appeal is understandable, their appearance simple and clean especially the cornflower pattern. A quick history: line began in 1959 and before 1998, the marks on verso read "Corning Ware" in two words. In 1998, the company switched to a one-word "Corningware". Then in 2002, Corning discontinued their kitchenware but has since began production again.
Offered are three saucepans with original glass lids and one bread loaf pan.
Saucepans are P-81-B (1 pint), P-82-B (1.5 pint) and P-83 -B 6.5"
Bread loaf pan P-315-B (9 x 5 x 3")

All the block style font styles of the hallmarks match in this collection: two are brown, the other two barely readable unless tilted into light. No flower logo. All the pieces are in excellent, lightly used condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Consigned by daughter of original purchaser. Estimated Value $400 - 900
