Catalina Island Pottery: Highly Collected "Man Taking Siesta" Pipe Holder and Matchbook Ashtray in Aqua Glaze. Excellent Condition. Catalina Pottery was founded in 1927 and sold in 1937 and is the commonly used name for Catalina Clay Products, a division of the Santa Catalina Island Company. The company produced a beloved line of pottery including tiles, tableware and decorative items all now highly prized by collectors worldwide.

Whimsical and very popular Catalina Pottery collector's piece. Pipe and matchbook holder ashtray with hand painted multi-color serape. The serape has flecking throughout with the tan colors particularly impacted. But the ashtray itself has no issues, no cracks, chips flea bites or repairs and certainly the color is appealing. Catalina Island imprinted on bottom.
8 x 7 x 4". Estimated Value $600 - 900

Realized $370
