1842-O $2.50 Liberty NGC AU50. NGC graded AU-50. Light even toning on both sides. The 1842-O is one of the tougher New Orleans issues to find at all, especially so in high grade. Furthermore, these usually come poorly stuck up, not so here, as Liberty has most of her hair definition and the eagle's thigh is sharper than most seen. Surface quality is attractive with minor scattered nicks from circulation. Only 19,800 struck, and today there are just over 100 known. Pop 12; 71 finer at NGC.
