1876. NGC graded MS-66. Nicely toned with attractive russet-gold hues that span both the obverse and reverse over lustrous fields. A key date with only 14,640 struck for this final year of business strikes (Proof coinage continued through 1878) for this denomination. This issue has long been popular for its tiny mintage and when found in such outstanding condition as noted, will undoubtedly bring a strong price. Pop 17; 5 finer, 1 in 66 Star, 4 in 67.
