Lot 117

1808 C-3 R1 PCGS graded XF45. Glossy medium chocolate brown mixed with some lighter brown, especially on the upper half of the obverse. No roughness or verdigris, only trivial contact marks visible under magnification. A very faint vertical hairline left of the lower end of the hair ribbon may help identify this piece. E-MDS, Manley state 2.0 late. Traces of die rust show in the obverse fields and dentils are visible all the way around both sides except for the right side of the reverse due to that die being slightly misaligned to that side. The reverse is rotated 65 degrees CCW relative to the normal head-to-foot orientation. Our grade is VF35. The attribution and The Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 12 finer for the variety. Estimate Value $600 - UP
