1878 Pattern Dollar. Copper, reeded edge. Judd-1555. Pollock-1734. Rarity 7. PCGS graded Proof 64 Red & Brown. Deeply toned and needs to be conserved. Very nice on the reverse side. The obverse is a trifle deep in color, with ample copper hues showing through mixed with deeper charcoal along the right side. An elegant pattern issue which is rare in all grades. Pop 2; 3 finer, 2 in 65, 1 in 67+. (PCGS # 71916) Estimate Value $3,000 - 3,500
