1808 C-3 R1 PCGS graded XF45. Glossy dark chocolate brown and steel. No corrosion, but a glass reveals a microscopic layer of very fine dirt in protected areas. The only notable marks are a couple small nicks high on the neck and a few very faint hairline scratches hidden in the toning between the U in UNITED and the adjacent wreath ribbon E-MDS, Manley state 2.0. Traces of fine die rust show in the field before the portrait and there are dentils all the way around both sides. The reverse is rotated 25 degrees CCW. Our grade is VF35. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 12 finer for the variety. Estimate Value $600 - UP
