Lot 115

1847 N-24/25 R1 AU50. Glossy light olive and steel brown blending to light reddish chocolate brown on the reverse. The only notable mark is a very light rim bruise over the M in AMERICA. MDS, die state c early, with a fine die crack through the top of the M to the dentils over the adjacent A (Newcomb's #25). The reverse fields are still slightly reflective and many of the fine die lines from the last die polishing remain visible, so this crack occurred very soon after the dies were placed back into service. Estimated Value $200-UP
