1842-D. PCGS graded VF-30. Struck in pale greenish color gold and untoned. Only 4,643 struck, with under 100 examples estimated to have survived by PCGS Pop Report. All were struck by the same die pair, this one being an early die state with the repunching on the 18 low is most prominant. Smooth wear and a few scattered marks to be expected. Another key issue which is seldom available in any grade. Pop 3; 67 finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7725) Estimate Value $1,500 - UP
