Lot 1127
1923-S. PCGS graded MS-65 CAC Approved. A frosty white gem with the head about ¾ full. In an OGH. This is a lovely, solidly graded Standing Liberty quarter dollar. The mint luster is thick and frosted and beams with silvery radiance over each side, the obverse devices are bold throughout. Crisply defined on the reverse as well which just a bit of striking softness on the eagle's chest feathers at the junction of the eagle's left (facing) wing – this being a high spot on the coin and pretty much every Type 2 offering has minor weakness here. A solidly graded Gem. Pop 87, 28 finer. (PCGS # 5744) . Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,500.
