Joachin, Joseph and Sigismond Thalberg -- ANS and AMQS. Joseph Joachin (1831-1907) Hungarian violinist. Autograph postcard signed, one page, in German, postmarked at Kiel, December 6, 1902. The friend of Mendelssohn and Brahms writes to Fraulein Marie Michaelis, sending thanks for "the package of original Holstein products, most refreshing; it was delicious!" Fine.

With Sigismond Thalberg (1812-1871) Viennese Piano Virtuoso and Composer. Autograph musical quotation signed, "S. Thalberg, one page, 5 x 8", Philadelphia, Dec. 6th, 1856. Written during his first American tour, this is an untitled excerpt marked "Lento" at top. Liszt once paid him the compliment: "Thalberg is the only artist who can play the violin on the keyboard."
