1838. NGC graded MS-64. Here is an attractive and sharply struck example of this first year of issue of the Gobrecht design. The stars are all bold right to their central radial lines, and Liberty's head shows strong definition on her uppermost curls. The eagle's feathers and claws are well defined too.
