Foote, Arthur -- Five Autograph Letters Signed. (1853-1937) American composer. Five autograph letters signed, total of 7¼ pages, on various personal letterhead, Boston, only one dated (1919). To Mr. Coerne he writes, "I am very happy that you're going to have my Bedouin boy again…I'll send the score and parts of the orchestra directly…." To an unknown person he gives permission to include him in "your volume" and says, "You will no doubt get most of your material from the new edition of Grove's Dictionary, and I add a few particulars…." To Mr. Brown, he writes "…It was very kind of you making the score, & I shall feel quite distingished to think it is in the library…." He writes to Mrs. Burgess regarding dinner on Saturday and thanks "Fessenden" for the copy of Folklore. Fine condition. Estimate Value $500 - UP
