1840-O. Drapery. NGC graded MS-63. Mostly untoned save for a splash of russet gold at the base of the obverse. Exceptional quality and eye appeal for an early New Orleans Mint coin, with boldly struck devices and satiny luster throughout. Only 43,000 minted and this is one of the finest seen today. These early New Orleans quarters are highly collectible and offer a huge challenge if you are trying to locate high grade pieces. This one is well struck and downright attractive.
