1787 New Jersey Maris 55-m Rarity-4 F15. Second U over S in PLURIBUS. Sharpness VF30 but lightly corroded, and the fine roughness is mixed with some of the usual tiny planchet chips on both sides. No verdigris, but there are a few nicks in the center of the obverse. Cleaned and retoned a slightly glossy light olive and steel brown with some coppery tan in protected areas. The date is tight to the rim, but it is clear and the legends are strong. The U over S error is obvious without a glass. Weight 156.2 grains.
