Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 123

Lot 776

1870-CC. PCGS graded VF-35. A lovely problem-free example, free from noticeable nicks, scratches, and edge bumps. Uniform light greyish-violet tone as typically seen on circulated Liberty Seated half dollars. Rarely seen better, or at all--so collector demand remains high when a handsome circulated example like this appears on the market. This is the first year of full operation of the Carson City Mint, so these were released with little fanfare and were in great demand as silver coins were still scarce in the west. Destined for an advanced collection that focuses on quality. Only 54,617 struck (PCGS # 6328) Estimated Value $5,000 - UP

Realized $7,680
