Lot 725

1874. Arrows. PCGS graded Proof 66+. CAC. PQ. Nicely toned on both sides. The obverse has a gorgeous swath of rich royal blue on the lower portion, with splendid fiery russet gold though the stars, lighter pale gold in the fields. For the reverse the toning is a match with the deeper blue at the top of that side (opposite from the obverse of course) and pale gold elsewhere. The strike is bold and complete with no signs of mishandling here. The stellar grade says it all. Of course this is a scarce type coin with the Arrows at the date too. Fantastic eye appeal and a glorious, stunning example of this sought after issue. Only 850 struck. Pop 14; 9 finer, 4 in 67, 2 in 67 Cameo, 1 in 67+, 2 in 67+ Cameo. (PCGS # 5575) Estimated Value $7,000 - UP
