150 Million Year Old Dragonfly from Eichstat. Eichstat, Germany is famous for its beautiful 150 Million year old dragonfly fossils. This scarce Nannogomphis bavarics species is the smallest of all of the dragonflies preserved from Eichstat. Perfectly positioned on a 8 X 7 inch lithographic limestone matrix, this dragonfly has a 1 3/4 inch long body and a wingspan of 2 inches long. This complete dragonfly has a well defined head, wing detail and body segments. There are interesting manganese dendrites at the top of the matrix which resembles a plant. Estimated Value $350 - UP
