$5 National Bank Note. Hadley Falls NB, Holyoke, MA. Ch. 1246. Fr. 590. Chartered in June 1865, this institution would only issue Large notes before being liquidated on December 30, 1916. This is a lovely Date Back Five with great embossing clearly evident. Some specks of rust at upper left and what is showing on census as an internal tear in the cashier's stamped signature are noted. We believe this to be due to the note being placed on a spindle. A very pleasing Very Fine / Extremely Fine note. Estimated Value $400 - UP
