$5 National Bank Note. Meriden NB of Meriden, CT. Ch. 1382. Fr. 587. PMG Very Fine 25 Net. Meriden lies halfway between Hartford and New Haven. There are only three Red Seals currently known on this institution, with the other two notes serial number one notes. Rust is noted at each end of the note from old paperclips. This is otherwise a lovely and pleasing example with great stamped signatures of W. M. Quested as Cashier and George Clark as President. These two served together from 1905 until 1914.
